Objectives

It is widely admitted that innovation in technology as a result of research and development is an important factor in competitiveness and increase in revenue. As such, the ability to generate this revenue requires negotiation skills; whether to acquire a research contract, a licensing contract or organize a transfer of technology.

The objective of this 2 day course is to enable each participant to lead a contract negotiation in English.
In detail, the goals are:

  • Acquire the techniques to negotiate high level international contracts.
  • Learn strategies to lead any contract negotiation
  • Be familiar with the vocabulary specific to contract negotiation (the legal and other expressions used when negotiating)
  • Know how to adapt to difference cultures and negotiating styles.
